It’s been a busy week. The kids are home for Spring break so it’s a little harder to get things done. But I have been working on something that I have been wanting to work on for awhile: Product photos! I think that illustrations look so nice when they are framed. I’ve had many people tell me that it’s hard to visualize a picture in a frame. I worked in a frame shop for many years so I know what a difference a frame can make. The frames I’m using are simple but that helps the work and color to stand out more. I wish I could take credit for the backgrounds, but they are actually courtesy of Adobe Stock. I simply used Photoshop to drop my illustration into the picture along with my logo and text. Adobe Stock isn’t free- it’s a monthly plan that costs $29.99, but it’s a great option for people with limited space. There are free options for photos such as Creative Commons if you don’t mind browsing through thousands of pictures. In the past I’ve actually found some viable options that way, but you do have to be careful that the image you are using is indeed free and available for commercial use.
